  • A new event for Science Olympiad competition! The Hydrogeology: Water for the World event challenges students, through investigation and computer modeling, to identify potential groundwater management solutions to help meet the water demands of a growing society, now and in the future.

  • This Science Olympiad event is designed to increase middle school students' understanding of groundwater through inquiry and discovery. Students manipulate a 3D aquifer model to illustrate porosity, permeability, and groundwater-surface water interactions. Students also get to visualize withdrawal, recharge, and the results of depletion by pumping water out with a model well.

  • Science Olympiad is a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education.
